DIRECTPAY payment processing is powered by industry leader Authorize.Net. Canadian merchants can also sign up for an account through us, though the process is somewhat different. Review the requirements below to prepare before starting your application

Requirements for Canadian Business Owners:

For Canadian merchants, a DIRECTPAY account provides a secure, reliable way to accept credit cards without the risk of unexpected holds or disruptions. With proper underwriting from the start and hands-on support throughout the setup, the process is just as easy and seamless—so you can start accepting payments quickly with confidence.

To accept credit cards with DIRECTPAY, Canadian merchants must:

Supply Proof of Domain Name Ownership

With your application, include a screen print of  your domain registration, which can be obtained at www.networksolutions.com/whois.

Include a Sample Product Page

Include a screen print of your product page so we can confirm sufficient description of the goods or service is provided. View our list of Restricted Merchants.

Verify Your Business Trade Name

Show that your business trade name matches your website name. Include a screenshot of your homepage.

Demonstrate Your Site is Secure

Send proof that your checkout pages have a valid SSL certificate with a screen print. (We can supply this for you if you use 1ShoppingCart.)

Your website must display the following:

  • Transaction currency (CDN and/or USD)

  • Delivery/shipping policies (e.g. if restricted to Canada or another region, delivery timeframe and cost)

  • Return/refund policies. You must have a refund policy

  • Customer service contact information (e.g. email address, phone number including country code and mailing address)

  • An appropriate Visa® and MasterCard® acceptance mark. Authorized logos may be found at http://www.visa.com/ and http://www.mastercard.com/. You may indicate “Coming Soon” if you are not yet approved.

  • Security policy

  • Privacy policy

  • The country in which your business is officially registered and located must be displayed immediately prior to completion of a purchase transaction.

    Note: If you or your company sell or provide any of the products and services on our Restricted Merchants List, your account must be pre-approved. Please contact us for more information.
